ASD Technologies temperature sensors are temperature conversion systems into an electrical parameter, easily interpreted by an electronic control linked to them.
The operating principle of passive temperature sensors is based on a known variation of a resistance depending on temperature. By measuring this resistance, is possible to obtain with extremely precision the value of temperature, measured by the sensor.
Temperature sensors can be divided into two big families: linear and non-linear.
The use of linear sensors or non-linear temperature sensors is generally determinate by different requirements such as precision, sensitivity to temperature variations, stability over time, simplicity of electronic control. It is not possible to establish in advance for which applications are recommended the use of linear sensors and for which non-linear sensors are recommended.
